St. Petersburg Clay Company

   St. Petersburg Clay Company can be found in an old renovated train depot in St. Petersburg, Florida.  The residency program here is a year long with the possibility of extending it a year longer.  Housing and all personal expenses are left to the resident to take care of.  The residents are responsible for  twelve hours a week of studio maintenance, assistance with workshops and other studio duties. For this, the residents are able to use any of the facilities around the clock  and they can attend any of the workshops at no cost.  There is a fee to fire but it is at a discounted rate.  They offer a variety of kilns including an anagama kiln, wood fire train kiln, gas kilns, electric kilns, soda and salt kilns, there is even a pit kiln.  At the end of the residency the resident puts on a solo show in the Tim Salen Gallery.
