Penland Artist in Residence 

Penland School of Crafts is located in Penland, North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The residency program is for three years and during that time the resident lives and works  at Penland.  There are opportunities for short-term residencies, but they are not provided on a regular basis. There is a cost of $150 a month that  goes towards rent for the house and studio space and on the average $150 to $200 for utilities for both. The resident barns are unfurnished and located near the main campus, a short walk away. The residents at Penland play an important part in the participation with sessions and school in general.
