Alfred University

The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred consists of a school of art and design and a school of engineering, founded on the study of ceramics and glass.  Alfred has consistently been a top ceramics program in the United States, both for its graduate and undergrad programs, boasting immense faciites, top notch professors, and a rich history of advancing the artistic and technical sides of ceramics.

The current full time faculty for the school of art and design in ceramics are Wayne Higby, Andrea Gill, John Gill, Walter McConnell, Linda Sikora and Anne Currier.

Alfred is host to an impressive ceramics collection in the International Museum of Ceramic Art, as well as the Scholes Library, an international resource for information on the art, science, technology, and history of ceramics and glass.
